Hyperspectral Core Imaging System – Rapid

Hyperspectral Core Imaging System – Rapid

Geotek HCIS-Rapid

The HCIS-Rapid is a high throughput core digitization and mineral mapping core scanning system.

Rapidly scan a whole core tray with a fully integrated visible, VNIR and SWIR sensor array to create a high-resolution digital image, and hyperspectral map of your core. Data acquired can be used to identify mineralogy, and detect vector/indicator, deleterious or target minerals for cores. The integrated lightning rig and automated calibration ensures reliable, repeatable and robust data.

45 SECONDS PER METER

Use the HCIS-Rapid for rapid mineral identification and confident geological decision-making during drilling or core logging. Hyperspectral data is accessible near-real time through the Geotek ATLAS digital core yard, enabling remote collaboration and interactive analysis of high-resolution imagery, mineral maps and modal data. The system supports machine learning-based mineral classification and can export to leading geological modelling platforms such as Leapfrog and Micromine for advanced interpretation and resource modelling.

Geotek HCIS Data Example

Rapid mineral mapping for cores

Core preservation

Capture imagery and mineralogy on fresh core prior to degradation (weathering, oxidation…)
