Track & Electronics Upgrade for Geological Survey of Japan (MSCL#28)

Peter and Melanie, along with agent Toshiyuki SUZUKI of OREC, upgraded the MSCL-S at the Geological Survey of Japan, Tsukuba. This vintage MSCL got a new track, with the strong ballscrew pusher, and new electronics. One of the benefits of new electronics is full waveform recording of all P-wave signals! At the invitation of our colleague Dr. Ko-ichi NAKAMURA, Peter gave a talk entitled "Pressure Coring: The Keystone of a Gas Hydrate Expedition."
