Nanjing & Guangzhou Visit

A quick trip to Nanjing allowed Peter and Melanie talk to the limnologists at the Nanjing Institute of Geography & Limnology about the application of MSCL technology to their repository of lake cores. Moving down to Guangzhou, the Guangzhou Marine Geological Survey also had an impressive repository of cores, and Peter & Melanie reiterated there that if a core is worth taking, it's worth logging! GMGS Expedition 1 shipmate Dr. Wu hosted Peter and Melanie at the Guangzhao Institute of Energy Conversion, where they presented the current state of the art in pressure core analysis and had a tour of the facilities in the Hydrate & Natural Gas Research Center.
